About William J. Hallett

William J. Hallett specializes in civil litigation. A Buffalo native from the Amherst area, his interest in the law began at age ten when he wrote to the Erie County District Attorney requesting a shadowing opportunity. He finds fulfillment representing individuals who have been injured through no fault of their own and guiding them through the legal process.

Bill holds an unusually broad federal court admission profile, including the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. He has served in court-appointed roles as Evaluator, Receiver, Guardian, and Attorney for Alleged Incapacitated Persons.

He is a guest lecturer at the University at Buffalo School of Law and Monroe Community College, peer-edited A Paralegal’s Guide to New York State Civil Procedure (2021), and is conversationally fluent in American Sign Language (ASL).
